Ingeborg Bronsart von Schellendorf, née Starck (1840-1913), was born to Swedish parents in St Petersburg. In the late 1850s, she studied with Franz Liszt, who greatly encouraged her; in 1861 she married the composer-conductor Hans Bronsart von Schellendorff (1830-1913)

Martha Remmert was a German classical pianist, music educator, conductor and music writer. Born: 4 August 1853, Duża Wólka, Poland  Died: 24 January 1941 (age 87 years), Neuses, Coburg, Germany

Henry Hammermeister 1799-1860

Hammermeister began his stage career as an opera singer in 1823 at the Schwerin Court Theater . From 1824 to 1828 he was at the Braunschweig Court Theater . In 1828 he went to the then newly formed Hoftheater Leipzig . Here he became known in operas composed by Heinrich Marschner , initially in 1828 in The Vampyr . In Marschner’s opera Der Templer and der Jüdin , premiered in 1829 , Hammermeister sang the Templar, a role that Marschner had written for him. Here Richard Wagner also heard him , who was impressed by him. From 1832 to 1835 he worked at the Royal Opera in Berlin, here too, Marschner’s Templar was performed with him in the leading role. From 1835 to 1840 Hammermeister was engaged at the Hamburg City Theater.
