Johann Michael (sometimes Michael Johann ) came from the noble family Althann . He was chamberlain, Privy Councilor and finally from 1716 to 1722 Oberstallmeister under Charles VI. His offices were not very significant, but he exercised a significant influence as Karl’s personal favorite.
