Frederick II Duke of Austria 1211-1246

Frederick II, known as Frederick the Quarrelsome, was Duke of Austria and Styria from 1230 until his death. He was the fifth and last Austrian duke from the House of Babenberg, since the former margraviate was elevated to a duchy by the 1156 Privilegium Minus.

Charles V, Duke of Lorraine 1643-1690

Charles V, Duke of Lorraine and Bar succeeded his uncle Charles IV, Duke of Lorraine as titular Duke of Lorraine and Bar in 1675; both duchies were occupied by France from 1634 to 1661 and 1670 to 1697. Born in exile in Vienna, Charles spent his military career in the service of the Habsburg monarchy.

Georg Ulrich von Wolkenstein-Rodeneck, Count of Wolkenstein-Rodeneck since 1630 (born November 1, 1598 at Bruck Castle (Lienz); † April 23, 1663 in Regensburg) was a German canon and envoy to the Westphalian Peace Congress and the Frankfurt Deputation Day ( 1643–1645) and the Reichstag in Regensburg in 1653.

Roger de Lorraine Knight of Guise, 1624-1653

The House of Guise, a branch of the House of Lorraine He is the youngest son of Charles I of Lorraine, Duke of Guise, Count of Eu, and Henriette-Catherine de Joyeuse, Lady of Joinville. Received as a Knight of Malta at a very young age. In 1644, he served at the siege of Gravelines. He died at the siege of Cambrai on September 6, 1653, and was buried in the Saint Laurent collegiate church in Joinville3.

Bonchamp-lès-Laval 1761-1844 Also known as Le Breton; pupil of Vincent and David; professeur de dessin et de perspective at the Institution des sourds-muets. The only recorded painting is a portrait (at Pontoise) which received the premier prix Montyon in 1834. A drawing dedicated by him to “Isabey père” in 1844 testifies to his friendship with another David pupil.

Annibale Albani 1682-1751

Annibal Albani, born in Urbino in 1682 and died in Rome in 1751, cardinal-bishop of Sabina (1711) and then of Porto and Santa Rufina (1743). He was the nephew of Pope Clement XI and brother of Cardinal Alessandro Albani. This suggests that this vase may have belonged to the cardinal.
