Maria Anna of Savoy 1803-1884

Maria Anna Ricciarda Carolina Margherita was Empress of Austria and Queen of Hungary by marriage to Emperor Ferdinand I of Austria. Born a Princess of Savoy, she was the penultimate child and daughter of King Victor Emmanuel I of Sardinia and his wife, Maria Theresa of Austria-Este.

Ferrante II Gonzaga 1563-1630

Ferrante II Gonzaga was count and, from 1621, duke of Guastalla. He was the son of Cesare I Gonzaga, count of Guastalla and duke of Amalfi, and Donna Camilla Borromeo. He succeeded his father in 1575. On 2 July 1621, the County of Guastalla was elevated to a duchy and Ferrante was subsequently deemed a duke.

Victor Amadeus I Duke of Savoy 1587-1637

Victor Amadeus I was the Duke of Savoy and ruler of the Savoyard states from 26 July 1630 until his death in 1637. He was also known as the Lion of Susa. He was succeeded by two of his sons; Francis Hyacinth and Charles Emmanuel II. His male-only line became extinct in 1831 with the death of Charles Felix.
