French military officer in the service of Spain during the War of the Spanish Succession. Born in Salins in 1650, Maître married Cécile de Winssinkercke, who had been born in Louvain on 7 September 1670. Maître was the seigneur of Laer, near Tirlemont.

Austrian actor a member of the Leopoldstadt Theater under Karl von Marinelli since 1781 and played alongside the famous “Kasperle Laroche” and his older brother Anton Baumann the comic roles in the local plays that formed the repertoire of the popular “Punch and Judy show”. As “Schneider Wetz” in the sisters of Prague by Wenzel Müller , he received great applause and general popularity.
