Joseph Clemens Cajetan of Bavaria (born December 5, 1671, in Munich; died November 12, 1723, in Bonn) was Archbishop of Cologne from 1688 to 1723, Elector of the Holy Roman Empire, ruler of the Archbishopric of Cologne, and Archchancellor of Imperial Italy, as well as holder of other princely episcopal sees and ecclesiastical dignities. His election as Archbishop of Cologne, secured by the Emperor and the Pope against the interests of Louis XIV, was one of the triggers for the War of the Palatine Succession.
