Maximilian II. Holy Roman emperor 1527-1576

Maximilian II, a member of the Austrian House of Habsburg, was Holy Roman Emperor from 1564 until his death. He was crowned King of Bohemia in Prague on 14 May 1562 and elected King of Germany on 24 November 1562. On 8 September 1563 he was crowned King of Hungary and Croatia in the Hungarian capital Pressburg.

Sigmund Adam von Traun 1573 -1638

Sigmund Adam was a son of Johann Bernhard von Traun of the Maissau line, from his marriage to Maria Freiin von Auersperg. He initially served Archduke Matthias at court (as cupbearer), became a Lower Austrian Estates Councilor in 1623, and then Emperor Ferdinand II’s Chamberlain, Privy Councilor, Lord High Steward, and President of the Imperial Treasury. Later, he became Land Marshal and General of the Land in Lower Austria, dying in the latter rank at the age of 65. Around 1630, Sigmund Adam was forced to sell the Traun estate and castle to Werner t’Serklaes von Tilly, the nephew of Field Marshal Johann t’Serclaes von Tilly. In 1635, he acquired Bockfließ Castle from Count Franz Christoph Khevenhüller.

Holy Roman empress, queen of Bohemia, and electress of Bavaria among many other titles as the spouse of Emperor Charles VII. By birth, she was an archduchess of Austria as the daughter of Emperor Joseph I. One of her children was Maximilian III Joseph, Elector of Bavaria.
