Lady Margaret Beaufort 1443-1509 Mother of Henry VII

Married Edmund Tudor, 1st Earl of Richmond and half brother of King Henry VI in 1455. Their son Henry was born in Pembroke Castle in 1457, three months after Tudor’s death from the plague.

Elizabeth of York 1466-1503, Queen of Henry VII

The daughter of Edward IV, Elizabeth married Henry VII in 1486, thus uniting the Houses of York and Lancaster. She bore him seven children, four of whom survived infancy: Prince Arthur ,Henry VIII , Margaret, Queen of Scotland , and Mary, Queen of France and subsequently Duchess of Suffolk .

William Warham 1450?-1532 Archbishop of Canterbury

An influential churchman and statesman, Warham was appointed Bishop of London in 1502 and Archbishop of Canterbury and Lord Chancellor in 1504, crowning Henry VIII in 1509. Though he clashed with Wolsey as the latter’s power and authority increased, the two men worked together on the King’s divorce.
