Johann Heinrich Graf von Dünewald 1617-1691
Johann Heinrich von Dünewald’s parents were Lorenz and Katharina von Dünewald. He was first in Swedish, later in imperial service. He distinguished himself in the Battle of St. Gotthard in 1664. He became a major general and was given command of a cuirassier regiment in 1670, which he was to lead for over twenty years. He later helped to defeat the French at Sasbach under Raimondo Montecuccoli and was therefore elevated to the rank of count by Emperor Leopold I in 1675 and became a general of the cavalry.

Heinrich von Friesen 1610-1680
Heinrich Freiherr von Friesen came from the Saxon noble family von Friesen and was the son of the manor owner, privy councilor, chancellor and president of the court of appeal Heinrich von Friesen (1578–1659) and his wife Catharina nee von Einsiedel (10 August 1585 – 31 January 1667[1]). The manor owner, head chef, court marshal and governor Carl von Friesen was his grandfather. The Electoral Saxon Privy Councilor and President of the High Consistory Carl von Friesen (1619–1686) was his younger brother. The Reichshofrat and Meißen Cathedral Provost Christian August von Friesen (1646–1681) was his nephew, the Electoral Saxon general Christian August von Friesen (1674–1737) his great-nephew.

Jakob Hannibal Graf von Hohenems 1530-1587
Jakob Hannibal I von Hohenems was the son of Wolf Dietrich von Hohenems and Clara de Medici. He spent parts of his youth in Northern Italy with his uncle Gian Giacomo Medici, Duke of Marignano and Marquis of Musso and Lecco. He pursued a military career. The election of another uncle, Giovanni Angelo Medici, as Pope Pius IV began a golden time for Jacob Hannibal I and the Hohenems people. In 1560 they were raised to the rank of count. In 1565 he married Hortensia Borromeo (1547–1578), the half-sister of Charles Borromeo, a cardinal and archbishop of Milan. Hortensia Borromeo was also a niece of Pope Pius IV.i.
