Gottlieb Wilhelm Rabener 1714-1771

German writer of prose satires and publicist of the Enlightenment. He was born at Wachau near Leipzig, and he died at Dresden. In 1741 he made his debut as satirist in Schwabe’s Belustigungen des Verstandes und Witzes, and was subsequently a contributor to the Bremer Beitrage.

The Brühl family (de Brüel, von Brühl) is an old German noble family from Saxony-Thuringia, with their ancestral seat in Gangloffsömmern in Thuringia. Branches of the family still exist today.
Heinrich von Brühl, who indirectly controlled Saxony and the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth during the 18th century, was a powerful statesman in the Holy Roman Empire.
One of the most important branches of the Brühl family uses the spelling Brüel or Bryll and mainly resides in Denmark, Sweden, Poland, and United States.
