Keve I. Duke of Hungary

The son of Csele of the Zemény clan, was a legendary Hun leader in the 4th century. Keve was captain of a group of soldiers who headed west into Pannonia in the late 4th century. Captain Keve died during the Battle of the Tárnok Valley.

Solomon, also Salomon was King of Hungary from 1063. Being the elder son of Andrew I, he was crowned king in his father’s lifetime in 1057 or 1058. However, he was forced to flee from Hungary after his uncle, Béla I, dethroned Andrew in 1060

Sándor Kisfaludy 1772-1844 writer

Hungarian lyric poet, Himfy’s Loves his chief work, was less distinguished as a dramatist. He is considered to be the first romantic poet from Hungary. He was the brother of Károly Kisfaludy. He has been set to music by Zoltán Kodály.

Albertus II, Holy Roman emperor 1438-39

Crowned King of Hungary in 1438, he struggled to control Bohemia and fought against Polish-Bohemian forces. He later became King of the Romans but died in 1439 while defending Hungary from the Ottomans. His reign saw anti-Hussite and anti-Jewish persecutions, continuing medieval crusades against perceived heretics.
